How a catboy pays you
The game never asks you to click for money. Income is a property of the catboy itself:
- You steal an egg and carry it back to your café.
- You hatch it, and the hatch produces a catboy with a rarity and a
$N/sfigure. - The catboy stands in your café with a nameplate reading
<rarity> / Catboy <name> / $N/s. - Your money counter shows the sum: a player holding three catboys worth $45 each reads
+$45/s, and one holding legendary catboys reads+$734K/s.
That is the whole economy. Buying eggs, buying trails, upgrading the wheel and unlocking zones are all downstream of how many catboys you have and how much each one pays.

This is a sample, not the full roster. The Index screen was never opened in the footage we captured, so the total number of catboys in the game is unknown to us and this page will not pretend otherwise.
Reading the income scale
Three tiers of income show up clearly:
- $5–40/s — Common and Rare. A fresh account lives here; the money counter barely moves and almost everything is out of reach.
- $1.5K–7K/s — mid-game catboys. At $3K/s a $100K trail takes about 35 seconds of idle income, which is why the trait that matters at this point is not the multiplier but the raw
$/sfigure. - $35K+/s — the totals shown by established players in the leaderboard, reached by stacking several high-tier catboys rather than by finding one good one.
One conflict is worth naming. Jotaro's hatch message reads (Legendary, $3K/s) while the nameplate next to the same catboy showed a smaller +$1K/s. Both are on screen in the same session. The likeliest reading is that one is the catboy's own rate and the other is the increase your counter just got, but we could not confirm which is which, so treat any single figure here as the game's printed number rather than as a verified formula.
What the Index prompt means
The first time a catboy you have never hatched appears, the game prints two lines:
New catboy discovered! Claim its reward in the Index. You hatched Catboy Tanjiro (Common, $5/s)!
At the same moment the Index button on the left edge gains a red badge with a count. The Index is the collection log, and a first discovery carries a claimable reward. The footage shows the prompt and the badge but never an opened Index screen, so what the reward pays is not something this page can state.
What we could not confirm
- The full catboy list and how many exist.
- Whether
$N/son a nameplate is that catboy alone or the total for the player. - Any bonus for owning several catboys of the same rarity.
- What the Index reward contains.
Next: the money per second guide turns these numbers into an upgrade order, and the rarity ladder explains which tier each nameplate belongs to.
