Raise A Catboy Rarity Ladder

Checked

Raise A Catboy runs eleven rarity tiers from Common to Divine, and the game sells two separate Robux shortcuts for them: a Steal product for every tier, and a Skip product that only starts at Mythic. Both price lists come straight from the game's own developer products, so the numbers below are what the shop charges, not estimates.

The eleven tiers in order

Tier Steal (R$) Skip (R$)
Common 5 —
Rare 9 —
Epic 19 —
Legendary 39 —
Mythic 79 15
Relic 129 29
Exotic 199 49
Ascendant 299 79
Secret 499 79
Super Secret 799 79
Divine 1,299 79

The order is not alphabetical guesswork: it comes from the product names themselves, and it matches what the Trails shop shows on its own cards, where Epic sits below Legendary, Mythic and the rarities used in the hatch feed you see in game.

What the price jump actually means

Stealing climbs steeply and then flattens:

  • Common to Legendary (5 → 39 R$) doubles roughly every step. This is the tier range you cross in your first hour, and paying through it costs less than a single speed boost at the top end.
  • Legendary to Ascendant (39 → 299 R$) keeps doubling but the absolute gap widens to hundreds.
  • Ascendant to Divine (299 → 1,299 R$) adds about 1.6× per step instead of 2×, so the last three tiers are the only ones where the curve is gentler than the middle.

In total a Divine steal costs 260 times a Common steal. That single ratio is why the survival strategy of stealing the Common nests and hatching them in bulk exists: paying the top price eleven times buys one Divine, while the same Robux buys 259 Common steals.

How you reach a higher tier without paying

The free route is the loop the game describes on its own page: steal eggs from the catboys, carry them back to your café, hatch them, and the hatch decides what you get. Rarity is a property of the egg you carried out, so the tier you can reach on foot is set by which nests you can get to and survive.

The hatch feed confirms it in the player's own words — You hatched Catboy Jotaro (Legendary, $3K/s)! appears next to New catboy discovered! Claim its reward in the Index. You are not choosing a rarity; you are choosing where you steal.

What the two price columns do and do not tell you

Steal Divine is listed at 1,299 R$, while Skip Divine is listed at 79 R$. Those are different named products, not two confirmed ways to reach the same result, and the shop's own descriptions are empty strings in Roblox's API.

So the honest reading of the price columns is narrow: they tell you what each product costs. They do not tell you that 79 R$ buys you a Divine catboy, because we could not observe what Skip changes.

What the prices do support is a bandwidth decision. If you can reach the nests that carry a tier and survive the carry, the free route exists and costs nothing. If a zone gate sits above your speed — the game prints You need $300M for the Comet Belt at one such gate — then the paid products are the only lever you have, whatever they turn out to do.

What we could not confirm

The shop tells us the names and prices but not the mechanics. Every one of the 31 developer products has an empty description in Roblox's own API, so we could not confirm what Skip vs Steal actually does in game — whether skip advances your next hatch, unlocks a tier directly, or bypasses a wait.

We also could not measure hatch odds for any tier. No rate is published and our footage covers a single session, so anything stated as a drop rate here would be invented.

Next: run the two prices side by side in the skip or steal calculator, or check what a hatched catboy actually earns on the catboys page.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How many rarity tiers does Raise A Catboy have?

Eleven. The game's own products step from Common to Divine through Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Relic, Exotic, Ascendant, Secret and Super Secret.

What is the cheapest way to get a Divine?

At the game's own prices, paying to skip to Divine costs 79 Robux and stealing one costs 1,299, so skipping is about sixteen times cheaper per attempt.

Can you skip to Common, Rare, Epic or Legendary?

No skip product is sold for those four tiers. The first skip product in the game is Skip Mythic at 15 Robux.
